The Dreams' Theft

The place with the most dreams in the world is the cemetery.
There, among the silent tombstones and whispering winds, lie countless unfulfilled dreams, wishes, and inspirations, buried deep within the earth. Each grave a testament to what once was, and what could have been.
As children, our dreams are pure, untainted by the harsh realities of the world. They spring from our hearts like magic, unbidden and boundless. But as the years pass, those dreams often morph, tempered by practicality and the demands of life. Yet, there are those rare souls who cling to their childhood dreams with fierce tenacity. The child who imagined swinging through the jungle like Tarzan grew to become a skilled gymnast, defying gravity with every leap. The girl who longed to be a mermaid found her place in the water, gliding effortlessly as a champion swimmer. The boy who idolized boxers trained hard, eventually rising to fame in the ring.
In this world, dreaming is as common as breathing, but holding onto those dreams takes courage. Rarer still are those who see their dreams materialize into reality. Throughout our journey, we may encounter a few kindred spirits who bolster our aspirations, but inevitably, we will face many more who seek to steal our dreams. These dream thieves come in many guises, sowing seeds of doubt, mocking our ambitions, and chipping away at our confidence. They whisper that we are not enough, that our dreams are foolish, urging us to abandon them for a more 'realistic' path. They counsel conformity and mediocrity, leaving us with the bitter taste of regret for dreams unpursued.
Life is fleeting, too short to let our dreams be buried alongside us. We must ask ourselves: are we our own dream thieves?

小孩的梦想，是天真无邪，但也是最发自内心的愿望。但随着岁月的蹂躏，变成大人的小孩，愿望也变得现实了许多。或许有些人还是会坚守着儿时的梦想，成为泰山，美人鱼，或是工夫小子。结果梦想成为泰山的小孩，成为了出色的体操选手； 想要变成人鱼公主的女孩，成为了游泳选手；而曾经爱打拳的男孩，成了鼎鼎大名的拳手。
这个世界上，发梦的人不胜枚举，可是不是所有发梦的人会对梦想坚持不懈，达成梦想的人更是屈指可数。我们的一生中，能遇到的贵人也许不多，但偷梦人一定不少。偷梦人会在你追求梦想时，嘲笑你不够好，打击你的信心，让你也质疑自己的能力。偷梦人会让你放弃梦想，告诉你要量力而为，提醒你按部就班，平平凡凡地过一生，从此却会为自己的不坚持，而活在遗憾中。
